There are total 23 characters in Brawl Stars. Shelly is a starting character you will be given for free when you start the game, and there are 7 trophy road reward brawlers that you can get by collecting trophies from battles. The 3 Rare brawlers, and the 3 super rare brawlers, have a higher chance of drop rate from boxes than the 3 epic brawlers, 4 mythic brawlers, and the 3 legendary brawlers. Epic, mythic, and legendary brawlers have lower drop rate from boxes, so if you don’t get lucky in this game, you might not have one.
As you can see in these pictures, there are different colors, ranks, and power levels in different characters. The color for the starting character and the trophy reward characters are light blue, the rare characters are green, the super rare characters are blue, the mythic characters are in red, and finally, the legendary brawlers are in yellow.
When you get a new brawler in the game, it will start with rank one, and you can increase the rank by using the character in the game and gaining trophies. The maximum rank possible is rank 20, and ranks do not matter on how strong the characters are, it just tells us how much trophies we collected from the character.
See the picture above, it shows that you collected enough power points for you to be able to upgrade the character, and as you upgrade, your character will be stronger. The maximum level you can reach for all the characters in the game is level 10, and when you reach level 9, you will get a star power that gives you special effect to the character. No characters in this game gains extra speed when upgraded.
